Creative Care Circles
This is a relaxing time to blend creative expression with self-care while playing with a whole lot of art-making materials! No previous art-making experience is ever needed…simply arrive with a desire to unearth your creative side and to care for a part of you that needs a little tending to. try an Expressive Arts Activity..
Your room or space could have a basket of magazines, scissors and a glue stick.
- Start by softening your eyes and do a gentle check-in with your body..no judgement here, only asking it where it feels good today and where it may need a little attention.
- Then, flip through a magazine and quickly grab an image or two that speak to you. (don’t think too much, just rip it out!)
- Now sit with these images for a little bit and see if they have any caring words or messages for you today. Ask how can these images support you? Which helpful words would you like to keep near by for the day or even your week?
